Registration

General Game Layout

Roster Size: U7 & U 8 =10, 6v6 (5 plus keeper)

Goalkeepers are introduced at this age and throughout this Program.

Game: Two 25-minute halves

Field size: 120ft wide x 180ft long

Ball size: #4

Goal size: 6’ high x 16’ wide (can be smaller or larger)

Referee:
U7-U8 Coaches act as referee on the field of play (1coach per team only)
U9-U10 Assigned Referee

Coaching courses are available: Youth Module or ‘E’ License is hosted by M.S.S.A and administered by N.S.S.A.

· No scores or standings are kept throughout this program.

· Shin guards must be worn at all games.

· No piercings, hats or Jewelry. Eyeglasses must be secured by appropriate eyeglass band.

· Practices are not mandatory at this age but are allowed if parents and coach agree.

· Throw-ins are now mandatory.

· Fair and equitable playing time is enforced in this program.

· No slide tackling will be allowed throughout this program (U7-U8-U9-U10).

Coaches are to use good ethics when weather conditions apply. No practices below 32 degrees or above 96 degrees. Coaches are advised to cancel practice if there is a heat advisory.

Program objective for U7 & U8 Coaches

· Dribbling with either feet

· Receiving with chest, thigh, and feet

· Passing to team-mates

· Team understanding and team work

· Players understanding simple tasks

· Fun games to promote running, jumping and catching the ball (coordination, flexibility and reflexes)


Program Objective for U9 & U10 Coaches

All of above

· Introduce heading (must go over the safety issues, mouth closed)

· Receiving with fakes and faints

· Skill moves and understanding where to use on the field

· Basic team shape (defender, midfield and attacker)

· Basic goalkeeper training

· Players completing simple tasks

Program Goals

It is the club’s goal to provide a healthy teaching environment where players gain knowledge in the four components of the game - Technical, Tactical, Psychological and Fitness. This will prepare the players for the E.N.S.A. Program or the Arsenal Developmental program. Coaches should use good ethical and moral standards at all times.
