Arsenal Soccer to begin Player Tracker Program
Omaha, NE (12/15/2008) – Arsenal Soccer will begin a new targeted development program called the Arsenal Player Tracker on January 21st, 2009. Players can register for this program by going to www.ArsenalPlayerTracker.com.
Working with EXACT Sports, the club will begin bi-annual diagnostics of competitive athletes aged 10 through 18. Each bi-annual session will include an overview of the athlete’s physical ability, a diagnostic measuring the athlete’s behavioral traits pertaining to soccer, and an overview of their mental speed and reaction time. This information will be gathered with a more complete coach’s review of each player to create goals for each player in the following training session.
All players who enroll in the Arsenal Player Tracker will receive an online player profile with private access, which allows parents and players to see complete results along with comparisons to team, club, and national performance standards.
The long term goal of the Arsenal Player Tracker is to compile a complete history of each athlete that plays for Arsenal. This history will allow coaches and parents to more fully understand the progress made in development while a member of Arsenal.
“I see this as a great way to communicate our development goals in a targeted way to each child, better assess their current abilities, and make more accurate training decisions for our club,” said Director of Coaching Alex Mason.
The Arsenal Player Tracker physical diagnostic will be held at the club on January 21st-23rd. Parents can help their child initiate the Arsenal monitoring program by visiting: www.ArsenalPlayerTracker.com. Each athlete will complete the online portion of the diagnostic and a brief player summary report in addition to the physical diagnostic.
